Getting Adobe Reader Software

Some of the files available through this site areo nly avaiable in Adobe .PDF file format. This is primarily true of forms for which the state has proscribed a pre-printed form. We have not required you to download all of these forms to your disk. this is because the entire contents that are avaialbe through tis E-Book are quite numerous and would greatly increase download time and disc storage requirements.

These files can be downloaded and viewed in an Adobe viewer program and can be printed from that program. To do so, right click and save target. If you have a newer version of a major web browser, left clicking on theform will automatically load adobe in your browser and you will be able to immediately view and print the relevant document.

To view the files with the Adobe Acrobat Reader, follow these step-by-step instructions:

Download the Acrobat Reader appropriate to your computer system (Macintosh or Windows). Links to download the appropriate reader are provided below. If your web browser (Mosaic, Netscape, etc.) does not automatically decompress downloaded files, you must manually decompress the file in order to use the Acrobat Reader. Execute the utility you have (Stuffit, PKZip, Compact Pro, etc.) to decompress the reader. Locate the downloaded file on your hard drive and click on it to install the reader. For Macintosh, you may need to click on the .hqx reader file you download from the Adobe site in order to create the ACROREAD.MAC installer file. Once the ACROREAD.MAC file is created, click on it to install Acrobat Reader. Windows automatically downloads the reader program. In Windows, click on ACROREAD.EXE to install the Acrobat Reader. Download the file you want from a page on this site. Open the Acrobat Reader to view and print the file. Depending on your printer, you may need to reduce the size of the pages in order for it to fit on an 8 1/2" X 11" piece of paper. Remember, a high-quality laser, ink-jet, or bubble-jet printer is needed to print usable copies of the file. Some higher quality dot matrix printers may also work.

Click here to download the Windows OR Macintosh version of the free Adobe Reader. If you have problems with the Acrobat reader, please consult the Adobe Technical Support phone number listing. If you have problems downloading files from our web site, our Download FAQ might provide some answers.
